Don't make stuff because you want to make money,
it will never make you enough money.
Don't make stuff because you want to become famous,
because it will never make you famous enough.
Make gifts for people.
Work hard on making those gifts in the hope that those people will notice.
Maybe they will notice how hard you worked,
and maybe they won't.
And if they don't notice, that doesn't change anything because your responsibility is not to the people you're making the gift for, but to the gift itself.

Aside from posting artworks here, I also use this sktchy app to practice my drawing skills. Would anyone be interested in seeing some of the stuff I've done on the app? I'd probably compile them together. At the very least I'll at least have something to put up on this site while I work on other stuff, though it's very mostly unrelated to what you're used to seeing me here.

If you haven't heard of sktchy, it's a free to download app where people can upload pictures on it and allow others to use it as reference and then upload their artworks and linked to the original reference picture. You can either be either muse or artist, and i would recommend it if you're looking to practice your art skills, particularly on drawing faces.

Do you think the British handing over Hong Kong to Taiwan instead of China would make things better in Hong Kong?

Depends. When the US shifted their stance to recognizing the PRC Mainland as The China, pretty much every other country followed suit, including the British.
If the US hadn't decided to get friendly with the PRC in the 70s in order to oppose the USSR, and the British lease on HK expired as scheduled while the ROC was still recognized as the legit government of China, then perhaps Hk would've been handed over the Taiwan.
As far as being better goes, keep in mind that Taiwan wasn't the paradise you'd expect a non-communist country before the 90s would be. After the KMT moved to Taiwan in 1949, they pretty much imposed martial law on the island, in order to solidify their rule, nationalize the economy in order to accelerate growth and prepared for a defense against a lingering threat of invasion by the Mainland as well as the 'eventual' liberation of the Mainland by the ROC. That martial law lasted up to the late 80s, when political reforms and the later election of the opposition DPP to power ended the KMTs grip.
If HK was passed to TW, then how would HK be integrated? Would it continue to have its own currency, laws, traffic system, judicial system, economy, education etc? Would the people of HK be willing to give up what they've been used to living with and be governed by their island neighbor to the east? For all its democracy, the Taiwan government may still seem foreign (at the time) to the people of HK.
Maybe TW will also make HK an autonomous region and pretty much do what China had done so since the 90s, with HK handling most their own domestic affairs. As far as respecting the rights and freedoms of HK maybe Taiwan will be less intrusive and interfering, since whatever they do would still have to go through a legal process and require the go ahead of the Legislative Yuan which would be answerable to the people.
This all happening while the elephant in the room, PRC China, is seething to the north, and might encroach on HK and maybe pull a Crimea.
All speculation, but opens a lot of interesting questions.

the comics is talking about the ROC military, starting with their fight against the Japanese empire, then skip ahead to modern times (because we don't talk about how the KMT got so corrupt and was backstabbed by the CCP and booted them out of the mainland), where it talks a bit about the modern ROC military (note Taiwan's military power at 19th, compared to Philippines at 51, just saying :P ), and talks a bit about the PLA's military hardware and the ROC military hardware (personal gripe: we're still using Cold War M60s, while the PLA have their latest Type 99, and while to be fair any conflict with China would probably not be decided on the ground, but still...)
it ends with how its hoped that both sides can settle any differences peacefully, and that we can still see each other as brothers and comrades

the guy who posted this forum thread gives his criticism on each page, keep in mind that the guy is from China, hence his Simplified Chinese typing compared to the Traditional Chinese text on the comic.

Hello! I've been watching you for quite a time now and I always loved all of your artworks!!
I've been meaning to ask something to you.
Can you teach me a thing or two on how you draw those soldiers outfit?
Maybe a step-by-step tutorial? If that is fine with you,of course!
