Sniper Problems by ThomChen114 Sniper Problems by ThomChen114
So this was an old sketch that discovered among my pile of sketchbooks, which i redid.

i'd just read something about how snipers could stay in position even for days, rain or shine, and would even relieve where they lay. and also of how they would not even react to a bug's bite, no matter how many, focusing solely on the mission and could only leave when the target has been eliminated or told otherwise. they weren't supposed to move too much or make too much noise, lest they give away their position

so i thought how funny this situation would be...
think he'll make the shot?

If I'm the sniper, I would be "shoo! shoo!" or shaking my sniper rifle in frustration :v

Birds tend to attack reflections of themselves, not recognizing its a mirror image of themselves.

I believe the front of the scope is covered with a mesh so the reflection of the sunlight doesn't compromise them

i did not really know that. but i've seen many people put mirrors in bird cages, and the birds just stare at it and cock their head around...

I have seen before a bird that every morning will go to a side view mirror of a van and peck at its reflection.

Terrific detail in the Ghillie suits. I also love the little emotes coming from the bird and the sniper. Funny dialogue, and overall a great work. Worth the fave!

" would even relieve where they lay"
So they would shit and piss themselves ? What about the smell, that could possibly give away their positions ?

imagine the frustration, after all his hard work getting to that spot, staying concealed, remaining undetected, waiting for hours or even days for the target to appear, and the bird decides to of all places to perch on the barrel of his sniper rifle.

Well tn their called snipers is because of an irish bird hunt, where in the hunters sought after an elusive bird calleda snipe. As for this bird, I expect that he'll be very unhappy when the sniper DOES make the shot.

Very Cool, like always. The detail with the leaves is superb! Excelent sir.
